As a First Nations Child and Family Service Agency, Knucwentwecw Society has been providing statutory services under the CFCSA since 1996. The society provides services to members of three Northern Secwepemc First Nations consisting of three First Nation Communities and to community members living in the city of Williams Lake and surrounding areas.
Knucwentwecw Society works to ensure that the rights, safety, wellbeing and spirit of children and families are upheld, honoured, and protected. We strive to eliminate oppression, discrimination, and marginalization within our communities. We acknowledge and honor the inherent wisdom, capacity, and resourcefulness of our communities in designing programs and services to care for children and families. Accordingly, we are dedicated to planning, developing, and implementing creative and innovative Indigenous programs and services in collaboration with our communities, members and other agencies.
